Ana Pantín, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Ana Pantín was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and attended the University of Miami for her undergraduate studies. As a fan of both the sciences and the arts, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Theatre Arts before moving to the frigid north to attend Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from veterinary school in 2022, she stayed in New York for an extra year as an urgent care veterinarian while pursuing her Master's in Public Health at Cornell. She married her college sweetheart and moved to northern Virginia towards the end of 2023 and was practicing emergency medicine before joining the AVAH team.

In her free time, Dr. Pantín enjoys playing board games with her friends and working on her writing and music. She is a Miami Hurricane through and through, and if she's not cheering on the Canes with her husband in the stadium, she's doing so at home while keeping an eye on their naughty ferret, Tequi.

Dr. Pantín has special interests in infectious disease, emergency medicine, and exotics (birds, reptiles, and pocket pets), and is a strong advocate for improving diversity within the veterinary field. She greatly enjoys client communication and education, and building lasting relationships with her patients and clients. She is absolutely elated to be joining the team at Ashburn Village Animal Hospital, and can't wait to meet you and your pets at your next visit!
